PM Modi and PM Deuba to Launch Indo-Nepal Rail Facility Today

After eight years, from Saturday again, people will get rail facility from Jaynagar to Kurtha. This will give a new impetus to the relations between the two countries i.e. India and Nepal.

After eight years, from Saturday (April 2) again, people will get rail facility from Jaynagar to Kurtha. This will give a new impetus to the relations between the two countries. With the inauguration, the operation of trains will start from Saturday on the Jaynagar-Kurtha rail section under the Indo Nepal Rail Project. Its preparation has been completed. A grand pandal has been constructed at Janakpur railway station along with Jaynagar. PM Narendra Modi and Nepali PM Sher Bahadur Deuba will jointly launch it from New Delhi on Saturday at noon through virtual.

Opening ceremony will be telecasted live

The opening ceremony will be telecasted live. It has been extensively arranged in Jaynagar and Janakpur. Millions of people will witness the cordial relations between India and Nepal. After the inauguration, a program has been kept in the Janakpur Dham station premises at two o'clock. In this, Nepal's physical infrastructure and transport minister Renu Yadav, Madhesh state chief minister Mohammad Lalbabu Raut, Governor Hari Shankar Mishra, Madhesh's home minister Bharat Sah, physical infrastructure minister Ram Saroj Yadav and many other dignitaries will attend.

The train will remain in reserve on the inauguration day on April 2. Only special people will be allowed to travel by train. It is said that common people will get the facility of travel from April 3.

District Magistrate Amit Kumar reached Jayanagar station late in the evening to take stock of the preparations. During this, DM took stock with the officials of Konkan Railway, IRCON Rail and Sub-Divisional Administration. He inquired about the movement and security of passengers including the Nepali station complex, railway track, platform, foot overbridge, custom office, screening machine and ticket house. He also directed to installation of additional LED wall projectors in the station premises and surrounding areas for live broadcast on the day of inauguration.
