According to the Election Commission, there are more than 25 such polling stations, which will be affected due to the demonstrations. Of these, 20 are only in Shaheen Bagh. Apart from Shaheen Bagh in Delhi, demonstrations are going on in Zafarabad, Mustafabad, Turkman Gate, Khureji, Indralok, Bhajanpura etc.
The biggest challenge for the Election Commission and the police is Shaheen Bagh. Demonstrations have been going on here for the last 40 days. Road 13A is completely closed. There are more than 100 polling booths in these 20 polling stations. According to the latest conditions here, the polling party is difficult even to go to the people to vote.
Temporary polling stations can be built
If the situation does not improve, then there is a plan to set up a temporary voting center for voting. According to the information, the Delhi Police has also started the search for alternative routes.
From today, protesters in Shaheen Bagh have agreed to give way to the ambulance, school van. School vans, buses and ambulance vehicles were also unable to pass due to road blocks. Situation was that people were sending children from the school metro and the date of examinations was also coming close. In such a situation, parents were worried about how their children would reach school on time.
Keeping in mind all these problems of the parents, the protesters have decided that a side road will be opened for school vans, buses and ambulances. The road will remain a block for other vehicles.
