Monsoon has become active once again before farewell in Rajasthan. There is a possibility of heavy rain in East Rajasthan from 19 to 21 September. The forecast said that due to the activation of the low-pressure area and its associated cyclonic system, there may be heavy rains in Rajasthan in the next 24 hours.
The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Sirohi, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh. A rain warning has been issued in Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jalore, Pali, Nagaur, Sikar, Alwar, Bharatpur, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Karauli, and Kota with dust storm.
After the re-active monsoon in Rajasthan, water has started coming again in the drying lakes of Udaipur. Kota's Chambal river is in spate. After this, 75 thousand cusecs more water has been released by opening the gate of Chambal river. The biggest Mahi Dam of the Udaipur division is also left empty only a few meters. With this, the inflow of water has started again in the Bisalpur dam.
According to the Meteorological Department, Rajasthan has received 415 mm of rain so far. This is 3 percent more than normal. Talking about the East Rajasthan region, it has received 6 percent more rain than normal. The average rainfall in the districts of western Rajasthan is 2 percent below normal.
The Southwest Monsoon gained momentum due to the low-pressure area over coastal Bangladesh and adjoining West Bengal leading to heavy rains in Rajasthan, a Meteorological Department here said even as it issued an 'orange alert', predicting very heavy rains in many districts of the state in the next 24 hours.
