Coronavirus infection is spreading rapidly in the country and India has now overtaken Russia in the list of most infected countries due to coronavirus worldwide, after which India has reached third place. During the last 24 hours, there have been 24,248 new cases of coronavirus reported in India and the total number of coronavirus cases across the country has risen to 6, 97,413. So far 6, 81,251 coronavirus cases have been reported in Russia.
However, with the increase of Coronavirus infection in India, the number of people recovering from Corona are also increasing rapidly. So far a total of 4,24,432 people have been cured across the country. During the last 24 hours, 15,350 people across the country have recovered from Corona.
The number of people who are losing their lives in the country due to coronavirus is also increasing continuously. During the last 24 hours, 425 people have died due to coronavirus in the country. A total of 19,693 people have lost their lives due to this virus so far. The highest number of deaths in the country due to coronavirus has been reported in Maharashtra, Delhi, and Gujarat. In Maharashtra, the virus has caused 8,822 deaths, while in Delhi 3067 people lost their lives and in Gujarat, 1943 people died.
There is continuous testing going on in the country for the identification of coronavirus patients. On Sunday, more than 1.80 lakh tests have been conducted across the country. The total coronavirus tests in the country have increased to over 99.69 lakhs. After the United States, Russia, and Britain, the highest number of coronavirus tests are being conducted in India.
Speaking of coronavirus cases globally, the total number of cases worldwide has reached over 1.15 million. So far more than 5.36 lakh people have died due to coronavirus worldwide. However, more than 65.35 lakh coronavirus patients have also been cured in the whole world. The highest numbers of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the United States, where more than 29.82 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.32 lakh people have died. Followed by Brazil and Russia with more than 16.04 lakh cases and 64 thousand deaths and 6.81 lakh cases reported here respectively.
