In the state of Covid-19 in Odisha, the number of infected cases crossed 21,000 mark in the state after the maximum number of 1,264 new cases came in a day. The health officer said that after the death of six more infected, the number of people who lost their lives in the state rose to 114. He said that there are now 21,099 cases of Covid-19 in the state.
Of the new cases, maximum 540 cases were reported in Ganjam district while Khurda had 131 cases. The official said five out of six patients died in Ganjam district most affected by the corona infection.
At the same time one person died in Khurda district. According to the official, out of these 1,264 new cases, 847 patients have stayed in various isolated habitat centers and the remaining 417 patients have been infected by contact with already infected people in 27 districts. The state is currently undergoing treatment for 7,204 patients and 13,750 people have recovered from the infection.
At the same speed on which the coronavirus infection is spreading, now it is also causing the deaths of many people at the same speed too. During the last 24 hours, new records of coronavirus have been recorded across the country and the numbers of people who are losing their lives due to the virus is also increased rapidly. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry, 45,750 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours i.e. from 8 am Wednesday to 8 am Thursday, which is the highest numbers of cases recorded in a single day.
If we look at the statistics of the Ministry of Health, during the last 24 hours, 1129 people have died due to coronavirus across the country. With so many deaths in one day, the illusion is broken that fewer people are dying due to this virus in India. So far, 29,861 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus and the numbers of deaths are increasing continuously.
