Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that there has been an improvement of 13.6 percent in the last three days in the doubling of coronavirus infection in India. The rate is 11.5 percent for the last 14 days. However, on this same day, five thousand new cases of corona have come.
The Union Minister on Sunday said that the rate of infection has come down by 3.1 percent while the number of patients has improved by 37.5 percent. Arguing that the rate of infection in the country has slowed down, Harsh Vardhan said that it took 106 days for corona cases to reach 80 thousand in India whereas in countries like Britain, Italy, Spain, Germany and America, this figure reached in just 44-66 days.
In the last 24 hours, no covid-19 cases have been registered in eight states and union territories Arunachal Pradesh, Chandigarh, Ladakh, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Puducherry, Andaman & Nicobar, Dadar and Nagar Haveli. Similarly, no cases have been registered in Sikkim, Nagaland, Daman and Diu, Lakshadweep.
Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that by following the rules of physical distance and simple rules of hygiene to avoid corona, this global epidemic can be completely protected. Vardan said that following the rules of two yards, virtual ceremonies can be organized instead of social ceremonies. He said that he is seeing these rules as New Normal in India. Washing hands with soap for twenty seconds, or using alcohol mixed sanitizers, prohibiting spitting in public areas, sanitizing the workplace, wearing face covers in public places will now become common.
