Continuous rainfall since the last five days has led to the flood-like situation in West Madhya Pradesh, as a well-marked low-pressure area prevailed over the region. According to the Meteorological Department, the rain is expected to remain better in August-September as well. If we talk about the forecast of the Meteorological Department for the next few days, then there may be heavy rain in most of the states of North India.

According to the IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rain in East Rajasthan. Apart from this, the Department has also predicted heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh. Heavy rain with lightning may occur in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. Similarly, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Maharashtra as well. Strong winds are likely in Saurashtra and Kutch.

For August 5, the Meteorological Department has issued red alert in eastern Rajasthan and Uttarakhand. Strong winds are expected over Saurashtra and Kutch. Heavy rain may occur in West Madhya Pradesh and Odisha, while lightning is also likely in Jharkhand. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Maharashtra also. On August 6, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand, UP, West Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya and other northeastern states.

Red alert in 25 districts of MP:

In Madhya Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in 25 districts. In view of the possibility of heavy rains in Gwalior, Shivpuri, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Datia, Sheopur, Morena and Bhind, a red alert issued on Tuesday.

In Rajasthan, moderate to heavy rains are likely at some places in the districts such as Jaipur, Bharatpur, Kota divisions.
