Aditya-L1 Solar Mission: India's space agency, ISRO, has achieved another significant milestone with the successful launch of the Aditya-L1 Solar Mission, its first-ever solar mission.

The mission completed all four phases successfully, marking a momentous achievement in India's space exploration endeavors.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to congratulate ISRO for this remarkable success. He stated, "After the success of Chandrayaan-3, India continues its journey into space. Congratulations to our scientists and engineers at ISRO for the successful launch of India's first solar mission, Aditya-L1. We will continue our tireless scientific efforts to better understand the cosmos for the benefit of all of humanity."

Aditya-L1: India's First Sun-Exploration Mission

ISRO successfully launched the Aditya-L1 mission today at 11:50 AM from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. This mission holds great significance for India as it marks the country's first-ever mission dedicated to studying the Sun.

The Aditya L-1 mission carries seven payloads, with six of them being indigenously developed in India. This ambitious mission is set to embark on a journey of approximately 1.5 million kilometres to study the Sun, making it a pioneering endeavour for Indian space exploration.

Reaching the Sun's orbit will take Aditya-L1 approximately 128 days. The mission was launched using ISRO's trusted PSLV (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket, known for its reliability and precision.

While several countries, including the United States, have previously launched satellites for solar study, the Aditya-L1 mission stands out as a unique and historic undertaking by ISRO in the field of solar research.

This mission will contribute significantly to our understanding of the Sun and its impact on our solar system.

Following the successful completion of the Aditya L-1 mission, scientists can potentially explore the study of other stars within our galaxy and even gain insights into stars in other galaxies.
