A video of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Maneka Gandhi is going viral on social media, in which she has levelled serious allegations against the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).

Maneka Gandhi has levied serious allegations of selling cows to butchers against ISKCON, branding it as the country's biggest deceitful organization.

In the rapidly spreading video, the former Union Minister has stated that ISKCON establishes cow shelters (goshalas) and acquires significant land from the government for this purpose, all while profiting immensely.

She further claimed, "I recently visited their (ISKCON's) Anantapur goshala in Andhra Pradesh, where not a single cow was in good condition. There were no calves in the goshala, indicating that all of them had been sold."

However, ISKCON has promptly refuted Maneka Gandhi's allegations, deeming them false and unsubstantiated.

The organization expressed surprise at the former Central Minister's statements.

ISKCON's National Spokesperson Yudhistir Govinda Dasa issued a statement asserting that ISKCON has undertaken cow protection initiatives in various parts of the world, especially in areas where beef is the predominant diet.
