Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh has said that it is deeply shocked to hear the news of the death of CDS Rawat and his wife in the helicopter crash. The ministry said in one of its tweets, 'Bangladesh has lost a great friend. Our thoughts are with the people of India and the families of the victims. Let us inform you that CDS Rawat was going to deliver a lecture at Defence Services Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington, Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

Russia and Israel have also expressed their condolences

At the same time, Russia and Israel have also expressed their condolences about the incident. Russian Ambassador Nikolay Kudashev expressed deep grief over the death of General Rawat and described him as a patriot and dedicated hero of India, saying that Russia has lost a very close friend.
