Jahangirpuri Violence: The bulldozer campaign of MCD has stopped in Jahangirpur. The Supreme Court has ordered to maintain the status quo on the demolition drive being carried out by the North Delhi Municipal Corporation in Delhi's Jahangirpuri. Earlier, the MCD was running a bulldozer against the illegal construction after the violence on the spot during the Hanuman Jayanti procession in Delhi.
Significantly, the Union Home Ministry has become very strict regarding the Delhi violence. According to reports of media, after the order of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the administration is also taking very strict action. Here, the Municipal Corporation had also demanded from the Delhi Police to deploy 400 soldiers in the area. The campaign against illegal construction was to be conducted by North MCD today and tomorrow i.e. on 20 and 21 April.
At the same time, local people were seen shifting their belongings from the Jahangirpuri violence-affected area to other places after the MCD spoke of running a bulldozer.
It is noteworthy that, Delhi Police is searching the horoscope of accused Ansar regarding Jahangirpuri violence. The police is also checking the call details of Ansar and his associates. Police suspects that the strings of violence are linked to Bangladesh. Let us tell you, the case of Arms Act is going on against Ansar. Cases of betting are also registered against Ansar.
Taking a stern stance on the violence in the Jahangirpuri area of Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday directed the Delhi Police officials to take strict action against the culprits and set a precedent so that such incidents do not happen again in future.
The investigation was intensified and the police arrested a total of 26 people, including two minors. Some of the accused have got police remand and they are being interrogated.
