Money Laundering Case: Underworld Don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar Sent to ED Custody for 7 Days

Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar has been arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Mumbai court has sent Iqbal Kaskar to 7-day custody of ED in the money laundering case. Let us tell you that Iqbal Kaskar has always been the target of security agencies and police and his name has also come up in drugs smuggling. In this connection, he was taken into custody in June 2021. Earlier this week, the court had issued a production warrant against Kaskar. Actually, the ED wanted to interrogate him in the money laundering case.

Iqbal Kaskar is in jail under MCOCA

Iqbal Kaskar is already in jail. There are several ransom cases registered against him in Thane police station. After the arrest, the NCB had revealed that last year two people of Jammu and Kashmir were caught with charas worth 8 crores from Mumbai. Iqbal Kaskar's name also came up in this case. Iqbal Kaskar is currently in jail because of three cases registered in 2017. These cases are related to extortion. Iqbal Kaskar is accused of running the activities of D-Company along with his brother Dawood. It is said that Kaskar is looking after the illegal businesses of D-Company in Mumbai.

Agency Raids at 10 places in Mumbai

In the past, there were reports that Dawood Ibrahim's D-Company is active in India and is plotting to disturb the law and order here. At the same time, a day before the interrogation of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar, the agency also conducted raids at 10 places in Mumbai in connection with the investigation of a case of money laundering related to underworld money transactions, illegal property deals and hawala transactions including the whereabouts of Late Haseena Parkar, sister of 1993 Mumbai blasts masterminds Dawood Ibrahim and relatives of gangster Chhota Shakeel.
