Opposition United in Parliament: Rajya Sabha Adjourned Till 12 Noon After Uproar
The opposition's ruckus continues in Parliament on the issue of Pegasus espionage and agricultural laws. As soon as the Rajya Sabha proceedings began on Wednesday, the opposition created a ruckus. Thereafter the proceedings were adjourned till 12 noon. On Tuesday too, there was uproar in Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha on both these issues. An important meeting of like-minded opposition parties is being held in Parliament. Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi is also present in the meeting.

Pegasus espionage and peasant movement are being discussed in the meeting. Along with this, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will also discuss the strategy ahead during this period. Earlier on the previous day, there was a lot of uproar in the Lok Sabha on these issues. Due to this, the proceedings of the House had to be adjourned 9 times.

- Earlier on Tuesday, as soon as the Rajya Sabha proceedings began at 11 am, the opposition MPs moved towards the Well and started shouting slogans. They were demanding discussion in the House on the Pegasus dispute. Due to this, the proceedings of the house had to be adjourned 4 times. During this, the Marine Aid to Navigation Bill-2021 was passed in the Rajya Sabha amidst the uproar.
- There was a lot of uproar in Lok Sabha too. After adjourning the proceedings nine times in a day, when it started for the 10th time, the opposition started raising slogans of Khela Hobe. Thereafter the proceedings were adjourned till 11 am on Wednesday.
Opposition's allegation – Dictatorship is going on in the country
In the Pegasus case, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge said in a press conference that according to the IT Act, permission has to be taken for surveillance. This government has allowed spying through Pegasus. Judges, army officers, journalists and opposition leaders have been spied on. This does not happen in any democracy in the world. Dictatorship is going on in the country. Modi ji is not ready to solve the issues democratically. We are ready for discussion. The government should call an all-party meeting. We are all going to fight on this issue.
Work done only 4 hours in the first week
In the first week of the monsoon session, opposition parties in both houses of Parliament created ruckus over three new central agricultural laws and the Pegasus espionage case, among many other issues. During the last week, only on Tuesday, the Rajya Sabha was able to function normally for four hours, when the situation in the country due to Corona was discussed on the basis of mutual agreement between all the parties.
