As per NDTV and Indian TV reports Big Boss OTT winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav has confessed to the police that he ordered snake's and snake venom. The 26-year-old YouTuber also confessed that he had met all the accused who were arrested by the police in connection with the use of snake venom as a recreational drug at a party in Noida in November last year.
Notably UP police had arrested 5 snake charmers for their alleged illegal activities under Wild Life Protection act, which included farming of snake venom which was later sold by Elvish Yadav.
The case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, Indian Penal Code sections 120B (party to criminal conspiracy), 284 (negligent conduct related to poison that endangers human safety) and 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animals), according to police.
The Forensic Department has earlier confirmed presence of Snake Venom in samples which were collected from the accused.
It has been 136 days since police had arrested 5 accused in venom farming case, but police did not muster enough courage to arrest accused Elvish until police investigation established involvement of Elvish Yadav in the case.
As per the credible sources ' Police did not want to hurry in arresting Elvish as it would have caused major embarrassment for the police without establishing evidences".
