A 5.3-magnitude earthquake has struck Pakistan's Rawalpindi. Earthquake tremors were felt on Wednesday morning. The quake was felt at 3.10 am.
The depth of the earthquake's center is 30 km below the ground. The epicenter of the quake was located 39 km south east of Bafra in northern Pakistan.
An earthquake of high intensity jolted various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday morning. According to the geological wing of PMD, tremors measuring 5 on the Richter scale were felt in Balakot, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Battagram, Torghar, Swabi, Buner and Swabi.
People of the areas where the quake was felt rushed out of their homes and offices and business centers in panic.
However, no causalities or property damages were reported from anywhere due to the quake.
The geological wing said that the epicenter of the quake was west of Mansehra, 20 km from Battagram and 18 km inside earth crust.
