Apple's biggest event of the year, WWDC 2021, will start on June 7 and will run till June 11. This time this event is special for Apple, as the iPhone 12 series captured a third of the smartphone industry's global revenue in the January-March quarter. Despite being expensive, it has become the best-selling iPhone of all time. Earlier in the year 2014, the iPhone 6 became the best-selling touchscreen phone. Now the global sale of the iPhone 12 series has crossed $100 billion (about Rs 7.3 lakh crore). Let us know why the world has once again become crazy about the iPhone.

Profit doubled from last year due to iPhone 12 series

Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max has captured the highest revenue. It was followed by iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 11, and then Samsung S21 Ultra 5G. This was the reason that in January-March of 2021, the company earned a profit of about Rs 1.74 lakh crore ($ 23.6 billion). In the same period of 2020, Apple's profit was about 84 thousand crores ($ 11.3 billion). That is, in one year the company made a double profit. With this, the company's income has increased by 54% to $ 89.6 billion or Rs 6.64 lakh crore.

After 2007, 2021 is very special

Apple started in April 1976, but the year 2007 is very special for the company. This is the same year that the company launched the iPhone. Today, the company has made huge profits thanks to the excellent sales of the iPhone. In January-March 2007, profit was $ 410 million, it has now reached $23.6 billion. The profit at today's value of rupee has increased to Rs 1.74 lakh crore from Rs 300 crore in 2007.

According to Counterpoint Research, the iPhone 12 was the best-selling model during the first quarter of 2021 in terms of volume. It was followed by the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 Pro. The iPhone 12 Pro Max was the best-selling model in the US. At the same time, the demand for Samsung S21 Ultra 5G was higher in the US and Europe than the lower variant.

This is the reason that the market share of Apple's iPhone has reached the second number among all the phone selling companies in the world while it is almost the most expensive. The price of the iPhone 12 series phone in India is Rs 79,900. While its competitor Samsung S21 is priced at Rs 69,999. Because of this, the iPhone has the largest share of Apple's earnings.

Why is the iPhone 12 series selling so much despite being expensive?

  • All the iPhones in this series will work even after being submerged in water for half an hour.
  • The drop performance of the iPhone 12 series has been improved 4 times. That is, they are stronger than the iPhone 11.
  • To make the phone strong, a ceramic shield has been used in it.

Apple iPhone 12 Specification

iPhone has become the main source of income in the Apple company

Worldwide, 65-70% of the profits from smartphones go to Apple and Samsung. In the 3 months of January-March, iPhone sales were the highest since 2014. The iPhone 6 was launched in 2014. The iPhone 12 is the first 5G phone. This is the reason why people took it by hand.
