Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu captioned a photo of herself with Cheslie Kryst, " "This is heartbreaking and unbelievable news. Many people will always look up to you as an inspiration. Cheslie, rest in peace." With this note, she also included a heartbroken emoji.
Cheslie Kryst, a beauty queen, lawyer, fashion blogger, and TV correspondent, died after falling from a 60-story building in New York City at 7 a.m. on January 30, according to an NYPD spokesperson. She was then declared dead on the spot. The death of Cheslie, who lived on the 9th floor of the building, appeared to be a suicide, according to the NYPD. Doctors have not yet determined the official cause of her death.
Cheslie Kryst has crowned Miss North Carolina USA in 2019. She was previously crowned Miss USA 2019. Her company hired her as its first diversity consultant in 2020. Cheslie also started working for Extra as a New York correspondent in 2019.
Cheslie was born in the city of Jackson, Michigan in 1991. She was raised in South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina and received her law degree from Wake Forest University in 2017. Cheslie worked as a civil litigator and attorney at the North Carolina firm Poyner Spruill LLP. She also founded the 'White Collar Glam' women's business apparel blog.
