The election campaign program will come to an end this evening in all the four by-election seats in Himachal. All the star campaigners and other leaders involved in the campaign will have to leave the constituency. As per the directions of the Election Commission, this time the silence period is starting 72 hours before the polling, so in the 17 assembly circles of Mandi parliamentary constituency, Jubbal-Kotkhai, Fatehpur, and Arki assembly constituencies after 6 pm, no outsider will be allowed to vote. Leader and non-Himachal leaders will not be able to stop.
During the silence period, if any outside leader is seen campaigning in favor of any candidate during the next three days, he will be considered guilty of violating the Model Code of Conduct. Usually, the noise of campaigning stops 48 hours in advance, but this time due to the by-elections between Corona, campaigning in flocks has been banned 72 hours before. On Thursday and Friday, candidates will be able to campaign only by going door to door. Election public meetings, rallies, and meetings will not be allowed. All liquor contracts will remain closed for the purpose of conducting the by-elections peacefully in the state. As per the instructions of the Central Election Commission, the contracts in the constituencies will be closed at 6 pm on Thursday and they will have to be closed till 5 pm on Saturday till the completion of the voting process. Similarly, on November 2, the day of the counting votes, liquor contracts will remain closed throughout the day.
