In 2022, it will be easy to travel by train to the homes of the wedding and the batch of pilgrims. Because now railway passengers have started the facility of booking group tickets. 100 passenger tickets can now be booked now from the nearest railway station. With this decision of the Railways, tickets can be easily booked for the processions on occasions like marriage. However, passengers will have to follow the COVID guidelines.
According to West Central Railway, now this facility has also been made available at all reservation centers. However, till now, for advance reservation of more than 20 people (group ticket), the applicant had to come to the divisional office and apply, which caused a lot of inconvenience to the distant people.
Generally, passengers use this facility of railways for going on a pilgrimage or for wedding processions or passengers traveling through group booking facility office. According to the new order of the railways, for the reservation of 15 to 30 passengers, the railways have been empowered to allow the station manager, chief commercial inspector, including the chief reservation supervisor of the reservation center.

Let us inform you that it was not possible to book group tickets through the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website or through IRCTC's app. Along with this, tickets cannot be booked for more than 6 people at the same time. Therefore, if a group ticket is to be booked for more than 6 people, then it becomes difficult for the passengers to get the tickets together online.
In this regard, the Station Director, Regional Manager, and Assistant Commercial Manager will have the right to advance party reservation of 31 to 100 passengers. Only if there is a group reservation of more than 100 passengers will have to come to the Divisional Commercial Manager of the division for application.
After decentralization of rights, applicants can now avail party booking facility by visiting their nearest Rail Reservation Center or Reservation Ticket Window. With the decentralization of this facility of a group reservation, now passengers of small stations will not need to go from the headquarters of the railway division.
