International crude oil prices are increasing continuously. The price of Brent crude has crossed $ 85 per barrel. Earlier in the year 2018, crude oil had crossed $85. This is the highest level of crude oil in 3 years. In such a situation, it is believed that there is a possibility of a further increase in the prices of petrol and diesel. Actually, there is a tremendous boom in the crude oil market these days. On the one hand, the demand for crude oil is increasing. On the other hand, there is no proper arrangement for its supply. Because of this, the prices of WTI crude in the international market yesterday rose by about two and a half percent.

Reduction in VAT of 2 percent on petrol

Awaiting government relief to the common man, the central government in Rajasthan has increased the central excise and the state government several times in the last 18 months in the form of VAT. After which the state government had also given a reduction in VAT of 2 percent in petrol and diesel, but the government relief is currently proving to be unsuccessful in curbing the rising prices of petrol and diesel.

The state government had increased VAT

In such a situation, now the common man is also expecting a reduction in excise duty from the central government. So that the prices of petrol and diesel can come down. In Rajasthan, only during the time of lockdown between Corona, the state government had increased VAT by 10 percent on petrol and 8 percent on diesel. There were no vehicles plying on the roads at that time. When the vehicle started, people came to know that oil has become expensive. However, only after that, under pressure, the government reduced 2-percent on both.
