National President of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jagat Prakash Nadda has taken a major initiative to end conflicts with the Shiromani Akali Dal. Nadda will meet Parkash Singh Badal, former Chief Minister of Punjab and SAD head, in his native village Badal in Muktsar Sahib district. It is believed that this meeting will reduce the conflict between the two parties. Earlier, the then BJP national president had visited his house only when his wife Surinder Kaur Badal died.
Recently, Badal had spoken of including Muslims in the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and described the current environment of the country as worrying. Along with this, the BJP was advised to take allied parties along. Prior to these statements of Badal, many BJP leaders had expressed that the BJP would contest the next Punjab Assembly elections on its own or it would have more seats in the coalition than before. Nadda himself came forward to bridge the rift between the two parties in Delhi and now it is believed that this meeting of Nadda will remove the bitterness in the relationship between the two parties.
Nadda will arrive at Bathinda Airport in the morning. After traveling 54 km from there, he will reach Village Badal. From there, he will go to Sri Harimandir Sahib in Amritsar, Durgiana Tirtha, and Ramatirtha by road. Preparations are being made to welcome him from Bathinda to Amritsar. BJP state president Ashwini Sharma has been in Bathinda since Monday and is preparing for her power show. In the name of welcoming Nadda, more and more workers are trying to gather from different districts.
