Madhya Pradesh Minister Kamal Patel has written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah. Kamal Patel wrote a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah demanding a CBI inquiry against Congress President Sonia Gandhi, leader Rahul Gandhi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath about their relations and financial transactions with China.
Patel demanded a CBI inquiry against Congress leader and the then Union Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath, alleging that the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation received donations from the Chinese embassy, due to which he gave a discount on sugar imports. Kamal Nath is alleged to have misused his position when he was the Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Government of India and did some activities that resulted in donations of crores of rupees to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.
The BJP president accused the Congress of taking funds from China and then conducting a study, which is not in the interest of the country. Patel wrote in the letter, "Not only the relations of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Kamal Nath with China, but also the CBI investigation should be done about the economic transactions and their assets so that the truth of the Congress Party can be revealed to the public".
Nadda said that today I saw on TV and was stunned that in 2005-06, the People's Republic of China and the Chinese Embassy paid big money to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. 'The Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) was created to help people in crisis but money was being donated to the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF) during the UPA tenure. Who sat on the board of PMNRF? Sonia Gandhi. Who is the President of RGF? Sonia Gandhi. After the matter was disclosed, the National Vice President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. Prabhat Jha, described Kamal Nath as an agent of China. In return, Kamal Nath sent a defamation notice to Mr. Prabhat Jha. Till the time the news was written, Mr. Prabhat Jha had not responded to the notice.
