Maharashtra Political Crisis: In Maharashtra, the rebel MLAs are now facing the threat of disqualification. According to sources, Deputy Speaker Narhari Sitaram Zirwal may send notices to 16 rebel Shiv Sena MLAs today.
Zirwal took legal opinion in the matter on Friday. After talking to the Advocate General of the state, Zirwal can send notices to the rebel MLAs today to which they will have to answer within 48 hours i.e. by Monday.
The rebels will also have to appear before the Deputy Speaker for the hearing.
Meanwhile, Shinde Camp has also responded to the legal notice through the notice itself. Shinde Camp has moved a no-confidence motion against the Deputy Speaker.
In such a situation, the rule says that until the decision on the no-confidence motion is not decided, the Deputy Speaker cannot pass any order in the matter of disqualification of the MLAs.
