UP Elections 2022: PM Modi to hold First Virtual Rally, while SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav to File Nomination from Karhal Seat Today

Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav, who is going to try his luck for the first time in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, will file nomination for the Karhal assembly seat in Mainpuri district today. He will reach Mainpuri today and from there go directly to the collectorate and do his nomination. At present, it is considered to be the safest seat of the SP and there is enthusiasm among the workers about SP chief Akhilesh Yadav contesting on this seat. Akhilesh Yadav is running in the assembly elections for the first time, and he has picked the Karhal seat in the Mainpuri district, which has been described as the party's stronghold. Akhilesh Yadav has only competed and won Lok Sabha elections thus far. Simultaneously, after being elected as the state's chief minister, he was elected to the Legislative Council. Elections will be held in the Mainpuri district in the third phase on February 20, and votes will be cast here. SP chief reached Saifai

Before filing the nomination in Mainpuri, Akhilesh will reach the collectorate by car at around 1 pm via Saifai till Karhal. There he reached Saifai yesterday. According to the information, Akhilesh Yadav will file his nomination papers in four sets and former MP Tej Pratap Yadav and SP District President Devendra Singh Yadav will be present during his nomination. BJP did not announce a candidate yet

BJP has not yet announced the candidate for Mainpuri's Karhal seat. While BSP and Congress have fielded candidates. Aparna Yadav has also clearly said that if the party gives her a ticket from Karhal seat, then she will contest against Akhilesh Yadav. It is worth noting that SP's national president Akhilesh Yadav is contesting from Karhal, in such a situation, BJP is trying to bring a strong candidate here and it is being told that it can announce the candidate for this seat today.

PM Modi's first virtual rally

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold his first virtual rally, dubbed 'Janchaupal,' for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. All preparations for the demonstration on Sunday have been completed. Sunil Bansal, State General Secretary Organization, also visited the virtual rally studio established at the state headquarters for the event's transmission. 49,000 individuals will be directly involved in the programme, which will be hosted in 98 committees of 21 assemblies across five districts in western Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Agra and Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma will participate in the event from the state headquarters at Lucknow's virtual rally studio.

Anoop Gupta, State General Secretary and Virtual Event In-charge of the Jan Choupal rally stated that all divisions of Saharanpur's Nakud, Behat, Saharanpur Nagar, Saharanpur Dehat, Deoband, Gangoh, and Rampur Maniharan assembly will be shown on the big screen during the rally. Apart from this, arrangements have been made for the broadcast of the virtual rally in Shamli's Kairana, Thana Bhawan and Shamli. Arrangements have been made to watch the telecast of the Janchoupal rally in Muzaffarnagar's Budhana, Purkaji, Charthaval, Muzaffarnagar, Khatauli and Meerapur. In Baghpat district, large screens have been installed in the divisions of Chhaprauli, Baraut and Baghpat assemblies to watch the broadcast. At the same time, arrangements have been made to broadcast the program in Dadri, Jewar of Gautam Budh Nagar. Candidates in all the assembly constituencies will also join the rally at any one place.
