The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced five more candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. In this, Sumer Singh Solanki has been nominated from Madhya Pradesh. Elections are to be held on March 26 for 55 seats of the Rajya Sabha for 17 states.
In this list, BJP has announced Ramchandra Jhangra and Dushyant Kumar Gautam from Haryana. Indu Goswami from Himachal Pradesh, Sumer Singh Solanki from Madhya Pradesh and Bhagwat Karan from Maharashtra have also been announced.
Earlier on Wednesday, BJP announced 11 candidates, including Jyotiraditya Scindia, who left the Congress and joined the BJP, Bhuvneshwar Kalita from Assam, Vivek Thakur from Bihar, Udayanraje Bhosle from Maharashtra and Rajendra Gehlot from Rajasthan. The party announced Abhay Bhardwaj and Ramilaben Bara from Gujarat, Deepak Prakash from Jharkhand and Leichenba Sanjaoba from Manipur.
At the same time, BJP has given two seats to the allies party. These include Ramdas Athawale, the head and the Union Minister of the Republican Party of India from Maharashtra, and Bishwajit Daimary of the Bodoland People's Front from Assam.
