The 12th Season of the IPL will begin on Saturday. The first match will be between Defending Champions Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Even before the tournament starts, the fast bowlers are getting injured.

First, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi of Kolkata Knight Riders were out. Now this list includes the names of Lungi of Chennai and Anrich Nortje of Kolkata Knight Riders.

Nortje's absence weakens the Knight Riders' pace reserves further, with the young Indian duo of Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi already on the sidelines, and of the two replacements, only Sandeep Warrier a fast bowler. KC Cariappa, the other replacement, is a wrist spinner.

South Africa's Anrich Nortje left the tournament due to the Ankle Injury.

Nortje earned a call-up to South Africa's limited-overs sides and earlier this month made his international debut in the home ODIs against Sri Lanka. He has taken Eight Wickets in Four Matches in the format so far.

Kolkata's bowling attack has weakened due to the departure of Nortje. Two of its fast bowlers, Nagarkoti and Mavi have already been out. Instead of Nagarkoti and Mavi, fast bowlers Sandeep and spinner KC Cariappa was included in the team.

The 25-year-old Nortje was the first to go to the IPL. He bought them for 20 lakh rupees. Anrich Nortje, whose bowling at a speed of 150 km per hour, was Kolkata's choice of coach Jacques Kallis.

Knight Riders yet to announce the replacements for Nortje.
