ENG Vs NZ: England had won the fifty-overs World Cup tournament at home in 2019 under the leadership of Eoin Morgan and they were just the third team after India and Australia to win the ICC mega event of the fifty overs format as the host country.

They also won the T20 World Cup 2022 and became the only side to hold two ICC Trophies at the same time.

New Zealand on the other hand is a team which hasn’t won any world cup of ODI and T20I tournaments till now. They have been the favourites in each season and still, they have not crossed the line yet.

Now the ODI World Cup 2023 is in India and the Kiwis will look to grab their hands on the trophy this time around.

New Zealand will tour England for the white ball series. The Blackcaps will face the world champion side in a four-match T20I series first and then move to the four-match one-day international series.

Earlier the Kiwis will also play three T20I games against the United Arab Emirates side from 17th August to 20th August 2023. All the matches will be played in Dubai.

The New Zealand tour of England in 2023 will start from 30th August 2023 and it will end on 15th September 2023.

The visitors, New Zealand has also named their fifty overs squad for the ODI series which will be beginning at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff from Friday, 8th September 2023.

Trent Boult will be making a return in the ODI format from this series and he will participate in the ODI WC later this year.

Boult is a key member of this New Zealand side and he has helped the team in reaching the finals of 2015 and 2019 ODI World Cup tournaments.

His participation for the upcoming ICC mega event looked doubtful because he wanted to play only in the T20 franchise-based events and also spend time with his family members.

That is why Trent refused to be part of the central contract list of the New Zealand Cricket Board. He played in the 2022 T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates and after that event, Boult was released from the squad.

The fast bowler has not played any fifty-over games since last year. His last ODI appearance was against Australia in 2022.
