England: Stuart Broad has retired from all three forms of the game of cricket. He decided to end his career against Australia during the Ashes Test series 2023 which England drew to 2 all.

The home side, England had a torrid time in the first two matches of this red ball series. The BazBall style of play went horribly wrong for Stokesy and his men.

But England came back strongly in the remaining three Test matches of the iconic Ashes and won two of those games. Australia was also saved by rain in one of the Test matches.

If the rains hadn’t interrupted the match proceedings of the fourth Test, then England would have won the series instead of a draw.

Stuart Broad Ended His Career As The Highest wicket-taker in Ashes 2023 Series

Stuart Broad played a huge role for England in their comeback wins. He ended the Ashes 2023 series and his career in all three forms of the game as the highest wicket-taker for his country, England. Broad picked up 22 scalps in that series from 10 innings.

Many experts believe that Broad is a great ambassador for the game of cricket. He is said to be the icon as well. His career was quite remarkable at the international level of cricket for England.

Stuart ended his career with a wicket on his last ball and he even smashed a six with bat when he batted for the final time.

Stuart Broad has been a perfect legend because of his immense contribution on and off the field. Andy Hunt, the chairman of Nottinghamshire had quoted this above line in a website and social media posts.

Hunt also said that it is unlikely that anyone from England would break the record of Stuart Broad in the next 15 years.

Broad was just the second fast bowler to achieve the milestone of bagging 600 wickets in the red ball format. He ended his career in Test Cricket with 604 scalps, which is the second most.

In his international career, Broad picked up 847 wickets to his name in all three forms of this game.

The cricketing world might not have seen a deadly combo with the red cherry in hand. Broad and Anderson were the partners in crime when they had dismantled the world’s best batting lineups.

Anderson and Broad were the bowling partners in 138 red-ball matches and they have got 537 wickets. They have got 46 five-wicket hauls and six ten-wicket hauls in the red ball format.

Seeing all the achievements of Broad at the international level, the Trent Bridge Stadium has renamed the pavilion stand in the name of the 37-year-old retired cricket player.

Stuart Broad was the one who conceded six sixes in an over against India’s Yuvraj Singh in the World T20 2007 edition, which the men in blue side won under MS Dhoni

But his career has been priceless for England in the red ball and the traditional format of the game. Stuart had also picked his best figures in the Test format against Australia at Trent Bridge itself.

His figures were eight wickets for just 15 runs in the 2019 Ashes series, which was also drawn to 2 all.
