Indian women's ODI team captain Mithali Raj is back on top of the Women's ODI rankings list released by ICC with 762 points. Meanwhile, elegant left-hander Smriti Mandhana also made it to top-10 at number nine. West Indies' Stephanie Taylor slipped to 5th position.
The ICC released the rankings for women's ODI batsmen on Tuesday, in which the first four ranked batsmen have gained a lot. India's Mithali has once again dominated the number one spot after improving a place, followed by South African batsman Lizelle Lee with 758 points at second place.
Australia's Alyssa Healy is at number three with 756 points, who was at number four last week. Mithali Raj recently made a world record in the ODI series against England. She has scored 10,337 runs in international cricket in ODIs. She left behind former England captain Charlotte Edwards (10,273). Only these two players have scored more than 10,000 international runs in women's cricket.
Other players, who gained in the latest rankings include – Deandra Dottin (up three places to 25th), Kyshona Knight (up 11 places to 42nd) and Britney Cooper (up 22 places to 81st) are the batters to move up the rankings for the West Indies while off-spinner Anisa Mohammed's six wickets see her advance three places to 23rd among bowlers. West Indies' Hayley Matthew (up two places to 32nd) and Chinelle Henry (up 14 places to 67th) have also moved up that list. In other gains for India players, Deepti Sharma has moved up one spot to 36th position and teenaged wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh has moved up nine spots to 72nd position among batters.
