ICC WTC Final 2025: The dates for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final 2025 have been officially announced. The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the prestigious Lord's Cricket Ground in London will host the final of the third season of the WTC from June 11 to June 15, 2025.
If needed, June 16 will be reserved as an additional day. Fans can book their tickets through the ICC's official website.
This will be the first time that the World Test Championship (WTC) Final is held at Lord's. The previous finals in 2021 and 2023 were held at the Rose Bowl in Southampton and The Oval in London, respectively, with New Zealand and Australia emerging as champions.
The match will be played between the top two teams on the points table at the end of the current cycle. Currently, the Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, sits at the top, ahead of the reigning champions, Australia.
Other teams in the race include New Zealand in third place, England in fourth, Sri Lanka in fifth, South Africa in sixth, and Bangladesh in seventh.
The excitement is building as teams vie for a spot in the much-anticipated final at the historic Lord's Cricket Ground, which is set to witness a clash of the world's best cricket teams.
ICC CEO Geoff Allardice expressed confidence that there will be high demand for tickets for this highly anticipated event.
Allardice stated, "The ICC World Test Championship Final has become one of the most eagerly awaited events on the cricket calendar, and we are delighted to announce the dates for the 2025 season. This is a testament to the enduring appeal of Test cricket, which continues to captivate fans around the world. We expect there to be a tremendous demand for tickets."
