Earlier, Virat Kohli said on Saturday that he was not in favor of ICC's four-day Test match as he believed that it would not do justice to the purest format of the game. According to Kohli, the day-night test is very much to take Test cricket forward because through it, Test cricket can be widely marketed. Apart from them, Glenn McGrath of Australia, Nathan Lyon, Vernon Philander of South Africa have also opposed it.
At the same time, Australia's veteran batsman Ricky Ponting also opposed the idea of ICC's four-day Test match and said that he was not in favor of such a change.
