ODI Asia Cup 2023: The match between India Vs Pakistan in the Super Four round of the ODI Asia Cup 2023 was ended as a one-sided affair. This match should have ended on Sunday, 10th September 2023.
However, due to the heavy rains in Colombo, this encounter was pushed to the reserve day which was yesterday, i.e Monday, 11th September 2023.
India displayed a comprehensive performance against Pakistan in yesterday’s game and registered a win of the biggest margin of runs versus the arch-rivals team, Pakistan.

The skipper of Pakistan, Babar Azam scored a match-winning 151 runs and Iftikhar Ahmed also slammed a wonderful century to his name.
The men in the green side were in a tricky position as they lost four wickets for just 124 runs on the board. Then Azam and Ahmed shared a partnership which got them to a mammoth score. They added 214 runs.
Babar scored 151 runs which is still the highest individual score in this edition and Iftikhar was unbeaten on 109 runs.
Chasing a score of 342 runs was never easy for Nepali batters and the bowlers of Pakistan showed their class as Nepal was bundled out 104 runs in 23.4 overs.
Shadab Khan was the pick of the bowlers from the Pakistani side and he was complemented well by the other bowers of the men in green which gave them a win of 238 runs, the biggest win of this season.
Nepal was out of the first round of this ODI Asia Cup 2023 after they lost to Pakistan and India, the two big teams of this cricketing world.
But against India, Nepal batted well and posted 230 runs. India’s fielding and bowling weren’t up to the mark in this game.
The rain had interrupted the match proceedings like it did in India’s first match against Pakistan. But India got a chance to bat and the target which was 231 runs was revised to 145 runs in 23 overs.
Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill batted with no fear. Hitman was unbeaten on 74 runs while Shubman Gill was not out on 67 runs. India won that match by 10 wickets due to the DLS method.
The Blues batted splendidly well in this match. India was dominant from ball one. On Sunday, India reached a score of 147 runs for the loss of just two wickets in 24 overs.
They reached this total because of a brilliant opening stand of 121 runs. Skipper Rohit scored 56 runs and Gill smashed 58 runs.
Yesterday it was a treat for the Indian fans who watched this game as the Indian batters piled up 356 and they didn’t lose any more wickets.
Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were the overnight batters of Team India when the game was shifted to the reserve day. Kohli and KL continued their dominance and registered their centuries.
KL Rahul has made a brilliant comeback after a long injury layoff. He batted at the number four spot because Shreyas Iyer was injured.
He was unbeaten on 111 runs and King Kohli broke many records in this game. VK scored 122 not-out runs.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya and Shardul Thakur bowled well as the pace bowlers of India. However, it was Kuldeep Yadav’s five-wicket haul which helped India to bundle out Pakistan for just 128 runs in 32 overs.
Kuldeep was the first player to get a five-wicket haul in this season and KL was the first Indian batter to score a hundred in the ODI Asia Cup 2023.
India won this match by 228 runs which is the third biggest margin in this season.
