Delhi Liquor Policy Scam: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia has once again been denied relief by the court in the Delhi liquor scam case. The Rouse Avenue Court has extended his judicial custody till July 26 in connection with the CBI case related to the Delhi liquor scam.

Manish Sisodia was presented before the court via video conferencing on Monday.

Additionally, in the CBI case related to the Delhi liquor scam, the Rouse Avenue Court has taken cognizance of the chargesheet filed against BRS leader K. Kavitha.

The court has ordered K. Kavitha to be presented via video conferencing on July 26 at 2 PM.

The Rouse Avenue Court has extended her judicial custody till July 26 in connection with the CBI case related to the liquor scam.

Sisodia Was Arrested on February 26 Last Year

It is worth noting that Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on February 26, 2023, in connection with alleged corruption related to the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-2022.

Following his arrest, Sisodia resigned from his ministerial position.

After CBI, ED Also Arrested the Former Deputy CM

A week after his arrest by the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) also arrested Manish Sisodia based on the FIR filed by the CBI. Since then, continuous hearings have been taking place in this case.

Meanwhile, Manish Sisodia's health deteriorated several times, and he requested to meet his family. The court accepted his request.
