In Khwaja Bazar, Nowhatta, Srinagar, terrorists threw a grenade at a joint security squad. The surrounding shops' windows were smashed after the grenade burst and this created quite a fuss. Following the release of the information, a considerable number of additional security forces descended on the region. To find the terrorists, they have initiated an operation.
The terrorists allegedly carried out the grenade attack while the market was busy, according to sources. From the location, a large number of people were going in and out. The grenade, which was aimed at security personnel, exploded near the stores and this shattered the windows of three stores.

Terrorists had thrown a grenade at security officers in Shopian neighbourhood on Thursday evening, a day before the tragedy.
No one was injured in this attack; however, the security forces' vehicle was slightly damaged. The area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched. A police report was filed.
