REET Paper Leak Case: On Monday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids in several locations in Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Barmer, Dungarpur, and Sanchore, as part of the investigation into the REET paper leak case.

These raids were initiated due to suspicions of undisclosed transactions amounting to crores of rupees. In Barmer, the ED raided the residence of contractor Bhajanlal Bishnoi located in Mahavir Nagar.

Simultaneously, there were reports of an ED raid at the residence of Babulal Katara, a member of RPSC, in Dungarpur.

Money Laundering Case Registered in REET Paper Leak

Following the demand made by Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was urged to register a case related to money laundering in the REET paper leak case.

Consequently, the ED filed a case in connection with the paper leak incident and conducted interrogations of individuals involved, including Babulal Katara, a member of RPSC, and the other accused.

Earlier, during an address in Sanchore, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot emphasized that strict action would be taken against those involved in the paper leak case, stating that no one would escape accountability.

Candidates Were Caught Solving Papers on Bus in Udaipur

On December 24, 2022, an incident occurred in the Bakeria police station area of Udaipur district. Reports were received by the Udaipur police stating that candidates were illicitly solving exam papers inside a bus before the scheduled examination.

The Udaipur police promptly responded to the information and took immediate action to locate and intercept the bus.

Upon examination and comparison with the original paper, it was discovered that a significant number of questions had been leaked.

In the aftermath, not only the candidates found on the bus but also other individuals involved in the incident were apprehended by the police.

The severity of the situation prompted the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) to cancel the examination.

As the investigation progressed, it unveiled the involvement of several RPSC officials, which consequently led to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) initiating a thorough probe into the matter.
