Jyoti Mirdha switched sides from Congress to BJP and has now started campaigning in the assembly constituency from Nagpur, which is dominated by the Jats.

Jyoti Mirdha, who was the Congress Member of Parliament from Nagaur (2009-14), said that she is sure about winning the elections.

As per Congress, Jyoti Mirdha stayed inactive in the party for the past four years, but as per Mirdha, she felt suffocated there.

In response to Congress Jyoti said that she was vigorously involved till the by-poll for Khinvsar in 2019, in which Harendra Mirdha was the candidate from Congress.

She further said that she was the one who governed all the procedures in that election. We came very close to victory and it was all because of her.

But in 2020, when Congress was in a predicament, Hanuman Beniwal (RLP MP of Nagaur) raised support for the party, and Congress started helping him. I stayed in constant touch with senior leaders (of Congress) seeking help for our people, but it never came through.

She after a time quit attending meetings and remained unavailable as a mark of objection.

In an interview question with TOI: Hanuman Beniwal RLP comes out to have gotten his pointer on the people's pulse in this region.

When Beniwal was the MLA from BJP, there was a Congress government in the state. He began using obscene language for ex-CM Vasundhara Raje, and that is why CM Ashok Gehlot was defending him even then. When he challenged for the Nagaur Lok Sabha seat in the year 2019 he came in association with the BJP and came to be the joint candidate for NDA.

He said at the time, saying that he had to think differently about an old rivalry with one of the political families Mirdhas, and because he did not have sufficient votes, he had to partner with the BJP for extra votes.

So he figured out what the situation was, and the moment he felt he was becoming ineffective, he flinched. Beniwal has been playing this game of changing sides and trying to ally with the most potent.

The way he operates his party is more like a gang, which people are realizing now. He stands exposed.
