Rajasthan: Jaipur Shaken By Three Consecutive Earthquakes Within Half An Hour, No Damage Recorded

In the early hours of Friday, three back-to-back earthquakes rattled Rajasthan's capital city, Jaipur, causing concern and unease among residents. 

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) detected seismic activity, with the most recent earthquake measuring 3.4 magnitude and occurring at roughly 4.25 a.m. local time. The earthquake was 10 kilometres deep and was located at latitude 26.87 and longitude 75.69.

Series of Quakes Strike Jaipur

The first earthquake was felt at 4.09 a.m. at a depth of 10 km but with a higher Richter scale magnitude of 4.4. The NCS responded swiftly, establishing the incident's position at latitude 26.88 and longitude 75.70.

Following the initial violent tremor, a magnitude 3.1 tremor struck the area around 4.22 a.m. Unlike the preceding earthquakes, this one occurred at a shallower depth of 5 kilometres, and its coordinates were reported at latitude 26.67 and longitude 75.70.

Despite the earthquake's size, there have been no reports of injuries or damage in the immediate aftermath. Authorities and local communities are keeping a careful eye on the situation to safeguard the safety and well-being of residents in the affected areas.

Vasundhara Raje's Concern after Earthquakes

Former Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Vasundhara Raje and top BJP politician, took to Twitter in response to the earthquakes to express her concern and compassion with the victims. 

She verified that earthquake tremors were felt in various regions of the state, in addition to Jaipur, and she asked everyone to take the necessary precautions and stay safe.

It is vital for authorities to remain observant in the aftermath of such natural disasters, and for individuals to be informed of safety precautions.
