In a hotel in Bharatpur, Rajasthan, an event was being organized where some missionaries were allegedly involved in religious conversion activities.
Upon receiving information about the religious conversion, workers from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad arrived at the scene and began protesting.
Following the information, the police also reached the spot and detained around 20 people, including women.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating the entire matter.
The incident took place at a hotel located in the Atalband Thana area. Allegations suggest that some Christian missionaries were converting Hindu individuals to Christianity.
These individuals were enticing members of the Hindu community by claiming that there is nothing in Hindu gods. They were promising that if one converts to Christianity, their sorrows and pains will be alleviated, and they will also receive monetary benefits. Some videos of their activities have also gone viral.
Shyam Sundar Gupta, the district president of the Vishva Hindu Parishad, revealed that there were approximately 300 people present at this event.
We learned that people are converting from Hinduism to Christianity. People told us they were invited by offering money.
Someone said they were invited to cure their illness. A coordinator of this event mentioned that we receive funding from Chandigarh.
Additional District Police Superintendent Bhupendra Sharma mentioned that information was received about an event organizing religious conversions at a hotel.
Police forces reached the location and detained some individuals, including the event organizers. Interrogations are underway. A case has been registered, and further actions are being taken.
