The Uttar Pradesh Police is set to further strengthen the security arrangements for Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The department is preparing to purchase state-of-the-art equipment worth over ₹1 crore.

Considering potential threats from various terrorist groups and anti-national forces, the department continuously reinforces the security perimeter at all levels.

It is worth mentioning that CM Yogi has Z-plus category security and is covered by NSG commandos. Additionally, a squad of brave state police officers is always on duty to ensure his safety.

Comprehensive Security Upgrade for VIP Visits in Uttar Pradesh

The police department is preparing to further enhance the security level during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's visits to various districts.

This will include the addition of drones, body-worn cameras, dress comms, and an extra supply of night vision equipment to the CM's security arrangements. The security of the Governor will also be strengthened.

In a letter issued by the administration to the ADG Headquarters, it was clarified that considering the security of the Governor, Chief Minister, and other VIPs during their visits, rallies, religious sites, Kumbh Mela, and other important establishments, 91 pieces of equipment worth 1 crore 2 lakh 20 thousand rupees will be purchased.

Purchase of Advanced Surveillance Equipments

The state police department is set to purchase three advanced drone cameras costing a total of 42 lakh rupees, along with 50 body-worn cameras valued at 25 lakh rupees.

Additionally, 34 dress cameras worth 6 lakh 80 thousand rupees and 4 night vision devices priced at 28 lakh 40 thousand rupees have been earmarked for procurement.

The Home Department has entrusted technical experts from the police headquarters with the responsibility of verifying the quality of all equipment.

These devices will be deployed with personnel during CM and Governor visits and on police fleet vehicles during district tours.
