In an alarming incident in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, Hindu organizations apprehended a man named Gullu Ismail, who had deceitfully assumed the identity of a temple priest named Gurujanath Maharaj.
The shocking discovery came to light when the villagers of Daurala confronted Gullu Ismail, who had been residing as a priest at the Om Shani Temple in Mataur village for quite some time.
An acquaintance from his hometown, Krishna Pal Gaon, recognized him despite the disguise and alerted the villagers about his true identity.
The enraged villagers immediately took matters into their own hands and reprimanded Gullu Ismail, teaching him a lesson for his deceptive actions.
The incident quickly gained attention, with local leaders from Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) rushing to the scene.
According to Aman Singh, the district president of VHP, Gullu Ismail hails from Gahri, Basic Panipat, Haryana.
He had arrived in Mataur village in January, claiming to be Guru Janath Maharaj and asserting that he was previously a priest at the Baba Gorakhnath Temple on Dighal Beri Road, Jhajjar, Haryana.
Upon further investigation, Gullu Ismail's true identity was confirmed through his Aadhar card, revealing his actual name as Gullu Ismail.
Authorities in Meerut are actively pursuing legal actions against Gullu Ismail for his deceptive actions.
