Lok Sabha Elections: With the announcement of the Lok Sabha elections, the police force has become exceptionally active. The increased police activity has resulted in the continuous apprehension of antisocial elements and illegal goods.

In this sequence, Prayagraj Police has uncovered a major illegal arms factory. The police have effectively thwarted all plans to spread violence during the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Five Individuals Apprehended

On a tip-off from an informant, the Prayagraj Police raided a factory operating secretly in the ruins behind the flats in the Kanshiram Awas Yojna near ADA Colony in Naini.

During the raid, five individuals, all residents of Naini, involved in the illegal manufacturing and supply of firearms were apprehended at the scene.

Additionally, police recovered several semi-finished firearms, along with tools and cartridges used in the manufacturing process, from the site.

Investigation Underway

The police are currently interrogating the arrested individuals for further information.

Additionally, the police are now investigating to determine which other individuals these arrested ones have supplied firearms to and who among them had ordered the purchase of gun barrels with the intention of causing disturbance during the elections.
