Keep the phone's operating system up to date

Keeping the operating system up to date not only gives you new features in the phone but also increases the security of the phone. By updating the operating system of the mobile, also removes the virus present in the mobile.

Use of mobile anti-virus tools

Before using public Wi-Fi, you can install security software on the mobile. For Android users, this software works as a firewall. If you connect to unsecured Wi-Fi, it shows you the risk and scans and removes that risk.

Slow public wi-fi

Open Wi-Fi network to see if the connection is slow? Are you having trouble signing in to Pages? In this case, it would be better if you log out of public Wi-Fi. Sometimes the reason for the slow network is that someone has tampered with the router, due to which you are not getting the data directly from the router.

Avoid online shopping and banking

It is better not to do online shopping and banking transactions while connecting to public Wi-Fi. Public Wi-Fi is not secure, so a hacker may steal your password, which can cause you further trouble.

Use of two-factor authentication

This means that whenever you log in to an online service, you have to go through two security layers. The first security is that of login credentials and in the second security, a code is generated on your mobile.

Turn off wi-fi

The idea is simple, but most people forget to turn off using public Wi-Fi, which can put your security at risk. Turning off Wi-Fi will also help you save mobile batteries.
