In India, Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite with the all-new Alexa Voice Remote Lite has been released. The new included remote has specific controls for applications such as Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. It also adds a shortcut to other Fire TV Stick Lite apps.
Amazon released the Fire TV Stick Lite with the new Alexa Voice Remote Lite one and a half years after releasing the previous Fire TV Stick Lite in 2020. Last year, the business also released the Fire TV Stick Voice Remote (3rd Generation), which includes controls for accessing Amazon Prime Video and Netflix.
According to the Amazon India website, the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite with the all-new Alexa Voice Remote Lite costs Rs. 2,999. It is the same as the original Fire TV Stick Lite's official launch price. However, that model is presently on sale for Rs. 2,499 and includes the older voice remote without the specialized app buttons.
Technically, the Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite with the all-new Alexa Voice Remote Lite is the same gadget that was released in September 2020. It comes with 8GB of storage and offers full-HD multimedia streaming (1080p). However, the supplied Alexa Voice Remote Lite differs from the one included with the old - now less expensive - model.
Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Amazon Music are all accessible through dedicated buttons on the remote. It also includes a shortcut to all of the Fire TV Stick's applications. Users may also utilize the voice button to summon Alexa.
The included remote from Amazon includes a Bluetooth connection, measures 142x38x16mm, and weighs 42.5 grams (without batteries). The dimensions of the remote are the same as those seen with the original Fire TV Stick Lite, however, the new model is somewhat lighter than the 43.4-gram predecessor.
Overall, the new Alexa Voice Remote Lite is comparable to the previously released Fire TV Stick 7,198 Voice Remote (3rd Generation), but without the power and volume buttons.
