Bajaj Freedom 125: Bajaj Auto, one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturers in the country, has recently launched the world's first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bike, the Bajaj Freedom 125, in the domestic market.
Featuring an attractive look and a powerful engine, the company has introduced this bike at a starting price of Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom). This CNG bike comes in three variants: Disc LED, Drum LED, and Drum Trim. Let’s find out which variant is best for you.
Initially, the company launched this bike for sale only in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Recently, Bajaj Auto announced that bookings for this bike have started nationwide.
Additionally, the company has begun delivering the first units. Based on dual-fuel technology, this motorcycle runs on both petrol and CNG.
The Bajaj Freedom 125 comes with two fuel tanks: one for petrol and another for CNG. The CNG cylinder is located under the seat.
It features a 2-litre petrol tank and a CNG cylinder with a capacity of 2 kg. According to the company, the bike offers a total range of up to 330 km with a full tank (petrol + CNG).
It delivers a mileage of 65 km/l on petrol and 100 km/kg on CNG. Notably, the bike can be started directly on CNG.
The world's first CNG bike, the Bajaj Freedom 125, is equipped with a 125cc petrol engine. This engine generates 9.5PS of power and 9.7Nm of torque.
The bike can be driven in both petrol and CNG modes. For this, the company has provided a switch on the handlebar that allows you to change modes.
With the push of a button, you can switch from petrol to CNG mode. The CNG cylinder in the bike weighs 16 kg, and when filled with CNG, it weighs 18 kg. Let's take a look at the details of all the variants:
