Flipkart Launches Flipkart Minutes to Rival Blinkit, Zepto, and Instamart in Quick Commerce
Quick commerce is considered one of the fastest-growing sectors in the country. As a result, several major companies have launched their quick commerce services. Key players in this sector include Zomato's Blinkit, Swiggy's Instamart, Zepto, and Tata Digital's BigBasket.
To compete with these established names, Flipkart has now launched its own service, Flipkart Minutes, into the market.
Flipkart Minutes Claims Delivery in 8 to 16 Minutes in Bengaluru
E-commerce giant Flipkart has been working to enter the quick commerce segment for some time. The company initially launched this service for its employees in Bengaluru.
Now, Flipkart Minutes has begun delivering groceries, electronics, and other items in the Bengaluru areas of Bellandur and HSR Layout.
The company claims that it delivers items within 8 to 16 minutes. Currently, deliveries are free for orders above ₹99, though a platform fee of ₹5 is charged per order.
Flipkart Has Over 14 Lakh Sellers and 50 Crore Customers
Flipkart currently has over 14 lakh sellers and is connected with 50 crore customers. The company sells more than 15 crore products across approximately 80 categories.
In response to customer demand, Flipkart has decided to enter the quick commerce sector.
