Lok Sabha Election 2019: 39.6 million Tweets Recoded Related to the January Lok Sabha elections on Twitter

Lok Sabha Elections: The issue of Lok Sabha elections is shadowing social media in India. There are more than 39 million tweets related to the Lok Sabha elections in January this year.

During the Lok Sabha elections 2019, social networking sites have been tweeted regarding continuous elections on Twitter. A total of 39.6 million tweets from January this year, which is a multi-fold increase compared to the previous general elections. On the micro-blogging platform in the Lok Sabha elections 2014, there were 5.6 million tweets related to elections during January 1 to May 12 2014.

However, Twitter has not provided a nationwide account of its users. On May 23, only 32 million Tweets were sent during counting. Interestingly, one-third of these tweets were made during the three to four o'clock while Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a tweet on his victory. Modi tweeted, "With everyone, everyone's development + everyone's confidence = India's Victory."

Modi's tweet was tweeted more than a million times, while it received 3.18 lakhs. "In the Lok Sabha election 2019, there were 39.6 million tweets from candidates, political parties, citizens and media, from January 1, 2019 to May 23, 2019," Twitter said in the statement.

Significantly, the results of the Lok Sabha election 2019 have come on May 23. In this election, the BJP and its allies got a huge majority. NDA has got 353 seats in this election, in which BJP alone has won 303 seats. While the UPA has 91 seats in the account. Social media has contributed a lot to the victory of this NDA victory. There was a tremendous capability of BJP on social media.
