Other projects of Ajay Devgan are also going on along with this film. However, he is not shooting for 'Maidan' yet. According to sources, "The technical team of the film kept falling prey to Kovid and the lockdown. Even after the lockdown was lifted, the sudden storm destroyed the set of the football ground itself. The makers have suffered a loss of 10 to 12 crores.

Now it is Alam that Waiting for the heavy rains to stop in Mumbai. The shoot can't start till then. That's because all the football match scenes in the movie are yet to be shot. Many actors who are also football players in real life, had come from outside. He also had to go back first due to covid, then lockdown and finally due to the storm. He will be called after the rain. Then the remaining 30 to 40 days of shooting will be completed. In such a situation, the film will be released on this Dussehra. It's doubtful."
