The film 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl' is based on the life of Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena, popularly known as 'Kargil Girl'. The film is scheduled to be released on Netflix on August 12 and it is believed that the trailer of the film, may be released today on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Divas.
Gunjan was the first woman in the country to fight uncontrollably in the Indian Air Force's war, who got a place in the Limca Book. She was the first woman to visit the battlefield during the war time. Jahnvi Kapoor is playing her character in this film made on her.
A film is also being made on Kargil War hero Captain Vikram Batra. In the film, Siddharth Malhotra will be seen playing the character of Vikram Batra, who is known for the 'Yeh Dil Maange More' title.
The film is named as 'Sher Shah'. Vishnu Vardhan is directing this film. The film is scheduled to release this year, but the release date of the film can be changed after the release dates affected by the lockdown.
