In the US, a case of a bottle bomb attack has come to light in a shop in Brooklyn city of New York. Most of the belongings of the shop were gutted due to the attack. However, one person has suffered minor injuries. Video of the attack has surfaced. It is seen that the bottle bomb was thrown inside the shop very quickly and within a few seconds it caught fire. Thankfully the bottle didn't hit anyone. There were 2 people in the shop at the time of the attack.
In the video, an employee is seen walking out of the flames. During this, he falls and his shoe catches on fire, but the fire is soon extinguished and the person passes out. In the video, another person is also seen speeding out of the shop.
The attacker has been arrested. It has been identified as 38-year-old Joel Mangal. Mars had 2 bottle bombs. He threw a bottle bomb inside the shop but failed in his attempt to throw another. Actually, a person passing by the road stops him from doing so and the bottle bomb explodes there. Due to this, the car parked on the side of the road caught fire.
City commissioner Daniel Negro said fire tenders arrived at the scene within three minutes of the accident and began extinguishing the blaze. The police is questioning the attacker. What was his motive behind this attack, it is not yet known. It is believed that the customer must have done this due to an altercation with the shopkeeper.
