The British Prime Minister was referring to Trump and Macron's press conference which lasted for about 40 minutes. Trump and Macron continued to disagree with each other while interacting with the media. In response, Trudeau says that he was probably late because he (Donald Trump) was holding a 40-minute press conference.

After Trudeau says this, all the top leaders laugh and say 'yes … yes … it happened'. What happened in the latter part is not heard. At a press conference that lasted much longer than scheduled, Trudeau quipped that his (Trump's) staff's face was worth seeing, now that his jaws would touch the ground. Indeed, Trudeau indicated that perhaps even the President of the US President was bored with such a long discussion.
